Update on the comments system, I’ve just noticed that it uses a cookie that does not have a privacy policy enabled and my site is showing with a warning….hmmmm
Do you want the internet on your fridge?
The benefits of IMAP the best-kept secret in electronic messaging????
Nice tag on the bottom of the site tho, “teach a man to use the internet and he will leave you alone” (via Ev)
Ship of Dreams has some really top LotR wallpapers π

Why do people feel the urge to place annoying background music on their websites (or indeed keywords π ). It’s bloody annoying and it does not repeat not add anything to your site, in fact it takes away from it, I will more than likely surf away quickly or hammer the escape key till the music stops.
Nearly there on Lord of the Rings, have nothing much planne for the weekend, cinema with some friends on Saturday so will get it finished then at the latest. Added the Godfather DVD box set to my collection today for a mere Β£25 ( π ) so that is one thing on the list of things to do over the weekend. On the subject of movies I saw Joel Schumacher’s “Tigerland” over the weekend. I don’t understand this guy he can make such crap as Batman and Robin and then make other good movies. It’s an enjoyable war movie. Contradiction in terms I know, but I like war movies.
I want this it was one of the best movies of last year. I watched it on the plane with Iain while going to Dulles on a business trip. I had not planned on seeing it at any stage, and it was just something that was on so I watched it. It was a good move and a great movie π But I’m off to Dublin, then France then SG4 in a 3 week period so I’m gonna be trying to skimp a bit over the next couple of weeks.
Comments are back using YACCS from Rate Your Music. It’s a wonderfully simple system for Blogger that took less than 2 minutes to set up. Only one minor issue that will be changed soon, the comments show up in EST, not GMT. I would live to see a comment system that works on a daily rather than post basis. I don’t like having lots of un-used links all down the page, something just to the right of the header for each day would be cool. Know of one?
Ya know I just had a thought, there is no reason at all I can’t create an easy linkifier myself. I’m going to be posting connected with AOL 99% of the time so a nice quick data extraction to clipboard form would do ever so nicely. (ql for those in the know)
Update 14:54
AOL
Looks like that works π
Babel Fish is a pretty useful web tool. I hadn’t used the translate webpages before, but it worked really well π
A surprisingly spectacular looking preview for Dreamweave’s new line of “Transformers: G1” mini-series. I want some of the old figures, why is it so hard to get a nice normal non extra powered up or sepcialist mission figure? Just the original and the real deal. As this series is to go alongside a new line of toys from Hasbro, this could be good
and a pretty big opps from AOL.
And re posts last night, mail has been sent. π
Oh yes a wonderful quote from “State and Main” that I will have to work into the site somewhere. Willam H Macy as Walt Price.
It’s not a lie. It’s a gift for fiction.
Sorted out most of my problems (and simplified) my style sheet alot, now I think I just need to pad my table a little more, the text is kinda stretched at high res.
god has redesigned
I use to have a quote on the front of my site from Wilson Mizner (1876 -1933), it is: Copy from one, it’s plagiarism; copy from two, it’s research
Today I saw a more modern, net version of this: Copy from one, it’s plagiarism; copy from two, it’s blogging.

oh actually an old comment I am reminded of from a discussion with a Hare Krishna in Religious Education in Sixth Year.
