So a few months ago I got to see Lord of the Rings a couple of weeks before the rest of the world with thanks to my job. Wouldn’t it be nice if the same was to happen with Star Wars Episode II…oh look it has!. I’m going to see it on Saturday 🙂

Its nice to see Spiderman continuing to break box office records in the US.

So I just recieved my nice little order from Amazon. Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 1 box set, Angel Season 2 box set, The Usual Suspects: Special Edition, Star Trek: The Motion Picture: Special Edition and V: The Mini Series. Ok so that’s alot of DVDs but what the hell, you only live once right….Also the album “Deserters Songs” by Mercury Rev. I figured I liked “Holes” from the C4 RI:SE ad so much a tenner for the album was a good bet. I’ll let you know how it works out later.

Fuck. I have just had over a days work over written by the US. As soon as I get to see the end result of my work and it looks fine the US have to replace it because of extensive changes.

The Hughes brothers (From Hell) are due to now remake “Les Pactes des Loupes” (Brotherhood of the Wolf) for American audiences…..

So I am now officially single.

Yeah it’s kinda news there allright. Basically I will have to admit I guess I would take most of the blame. Travelling back and forward between London and Bristol was always a pain for both of us and I never really liked Bristol (in fact I actively disliked it…). For about 8 months or so I was doing that twice a month and the other two weekends she was travelling to London. It was always an annoyance that this took a lot away from my time, mainly in this case Friday nights out with the guys from work just didn’t happen. There was one time where it was close to 6 weeks before I was able to go out with them and I missed that. I work with a strange group of people but on the whole I enjoy their company and I look forward to a couple of drinks after work whenever it may be.

Over the past 3 months or so, a lot of things have changed for me. I’m not quite sure it would be 100% accurate to boil it down to a new job, but I think that would be a large cause. I’ve been far happier and I’ve started to feel that I fit in work and indeed more comfortable and indeed happier living in London than I had ever been. I’ve be doing a lot more outside of work, going out more with people from work and others. There were weeks where I was busy 7 days and you know it was good. I enjoyed it. But this had the knockon affect of not travelling at the weekends and indeed not using the phone as much as I had been (or indeed as much as I should have). So that was kinda not good for the relationship. It got to the point where we were seeing each other once a month at best and well that just wasn’t working.

Neither of us were prepared to move, it was something we had talked about before and one day it was going to happen but it would depend on many things. I had considered moving to Bristol and quite seriously, but then my job situation picked up. On her end, well we have argued about this a few odd times … but in a nutshell she would be easily able to pick up another and indeed better job, but moving is quite a big step and as we have spent the past 3 months pretty much apart it wasn’t going to happen.

So instead yesterday we pretty much agreed that we were doomed and ended it. 2 weeks shy of one year. I have no doubt at all that she will move on and up to someone who really deserves her.

I don’t really have much else to say to an audience so…insert cliché here..

The US adds more countrys to it’s Axis of evil including Cuba and promises to take action against them. Cuba could be interesting. In other US news, President George W. Bush is blocking an international drive to provide teenage sex education because of his belief in chastity before marriage. hmmm
