I’m watching bits and pices from Glastonbury on the beeb at the mo and I think I would really like to see No Doubt live, they seemd to be pretty damn good.

On another music note JJ72have been rocking my free world for the past couple of weeks. Their debut album JJ72 is really something, I’m not sure what genre it could be called, it alternative rock is probably the best bit. Think Radiohead meeting Nirvana and its something like it. There is a huge amount of energy behind the music and this really shines through live. I downloaded some live MP3s and they are really great but also their website has some MP3s and videos to download and they really shine through.

Anyway gotta read some more before I go out.

Comics

So it’s been about 5 weeks since I managed to make it into my LCS to collect my stuff…hence the rather large (£140) bill at the end of it all. Oh well tis lots of good reading with quite a few things in there I was not expecting but am quite happy to see.

Tonight I am going to see Spider-Man again with a group of friends from work. It feels kinda strange to be seeing them on a Saturday but its good that they qualify as friends and not just work mates.

Friday night

…down the pub for a few which was good and only happened becase a couple of people who don’t tend to join us anymore did. Was home around 8:30 and sat in front of the tv for a while. Gonna go sleep now, hope to feel better whenever I wake up (hopefully late) tomorrow. No real plans other than collect comics, hit ASDA for some food and Dave mentiond something about seeing Spider-Man again tomorrow night. I think I like the sound of that.

Ya know if I didn’t feel like I badly need to not do it I’d end up in work tomorrow looking at some stuff, but I just can’t bear the thought of spending any of my two days off in the office.

On the good news front, tomorrow is CSI and the day after is West Wing and finally; yes I’m cynical and bitter and was somewhat in a bad mood when I posted the last…

Not a good morning.

So again I’m not feeling 100%. I’ve not slept very well the past few nights and this morning I have a headache and I’m feeling run down on general. Work stuff kinda fucked up overnight and wasted quite a bit of time and hey guess what…it was my fault. Fuck.

I also suspect the trip on Monday is about to turn out shit and will involve motherfucking flippads and singing of fucking kumbyfuckinga. Fuckers the lot of them.

Evil Dead

So I wandered for about an hour after work not really doing much. Came home and watched The Evil Dead, I don’t get it…that is what all the hype and cult status movie as been about? Colour me unimpressed. I’m curious to see the second one as that gets talked up even more but I don’t hold out all that much hope.

Thats all folks, gonna go sleep now. Note to self reivews to post.

Tonight

For some reason about 5:30 today I sent the following im to a collegue.
“Pint?”

That was my first mistake it was not to be my last. We ended up going into town and having some dinner. That was all good, the bottle of Miller was nice. However after dinner we moved on as intended to The Porterhouse and for some stupid reason decided we would get bottles of beer which were just under %20 proof. What a fucking great plan that was. Not even finished my second bottle of beer and I start feeling a little merry. The next beer only added to that of course. Anyways that was the night, I got home around 11ish.

A wise man said on a forum, its just the internet, you can press a button and it will go away. There is much wisdom there.

Queen and David Bowie’s Under Pressure with Annie Lennox doing Freddie Mercurys vocals…live

R.E.M. closing a gig with a cover of Iggy Pop’s The Passenger

Toir Amos covering Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit

Stereophonics with Noel Gallagher singing Live Forever live from Dublin.

Robbie Willaims doing a pretty good version of One from Slaine a couple of years ago.

Just some of the joy my ears are experiencing today.

Flights are booked, time off is booked. Leaving the country Friday week, coming back the Saturday a week later. Cool.
