DisneyLand catchup.

Right so lots of stuff to talk about. May aswell go in some sort of order.
Monday at DisneyLand Paris was far better than I expected. I was not expecting much, I thought there would be a whole shitload of “team building activities” and I was pretty much wrong. There was suppose to be, but the weather but pay to it (it was raining) so we went and had fun instead. The trip there was ok, about an hour into it realised that playing cards would have been a good idea and made plans to buy some for the way back. We did about 45 minutes of a questionnaire in order to keep upon high happy but even that was kinda fun as we went for a take the piss approach (shock that).

The rest of the trip was good it was pretty much just hanging out and having a laugh and there ain’t nothing wrong with that. So we get there and go for lunch, arrive in Paris, go to Planet Hollywood for lunch. It made sense at the time and the food was fine. We chatted over lunch as you do and the hit the park. Having given up on all semblance of organising we just split up and went off for fun. So I spent the afternoon with my team. The first thing we did was the Star Wars ride, my boss and I saw an X-Wing statue and we just went for it, was about a 15 minute queue and the ride was nothing really special. So we followed that up with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. This is a pretty standard roller coaster but with one small but major difference. You go on it backwards. It in a word rocked, I came off it a tad dizzy though. There was no queue for it so we went on it again. It was all good except for one thing. I’m too tall. The actual ride itself was fine and while my stomach was jumping around there was no real chance at any stage it could not handle it. But the ride was so close to the damn walls I was actually afraid of being bashed against them. It did not help that Dave sitting next to me was hit in the head by one of the plants growing off the walls and he is nothing like as tall as me. But other than that it was fun.

We headed for Space Mountain next having prebooked fast pass tickets. When we got to get on this, and I sat down pulling the safety harness down I realised I was really too tall for it. I was able to sit there and it could close but it was fairly pressing down on me. I thought about getting off but I figured what the hell. That was my mistake. Indiana Jones was nothing compared to this and as soon as it started to go, the grid pressed down like fuck and hurt like fuck. I have matching bruises on my shoulders. So I spent the next minute or so trying to press back and down into my seat as far as possible with little success. From what I saw of the ride which wasn’t much (it is in the dark anyway) it was cool and I did completely forget the pain as we did a loop upside down and then through a twisting curve but that was just for a moment.

Anyways that was pretty much all we had time for, we wandered around for a bit and stood by in sheer bemusement as one of my team pretty much assaulted Goofy.

The trip back was a lot more fun than going over. Although I had forgotten to pick up a set of cards one of the guys had remembered and when it was announced the bar was open we grabbed the cards got some drinks and started playing poker. It was good fun. We were playing in jest and used the coins we had in our pockets to keep some interest going. We probably spent about an hour messing around had some good fun. The rest of the trip was spent talking with people and just sitting down not doing much.

One pretty surreal conversation with Dave where an entire new meme has been made out of the sound *bing* passed some time with much laughter and then we ended up at a table for four just talking. It was all good.

Now coming out of that from a team building point of view I did talk to quite a few people that I normally don’t have a chance to and that was all good, but nothing much will come of it really. It was nice to talk to everyone but its been done before and the same thing happened then. I did realise that I really don’t like some of the people I already didn’t like so that kinda may have undone anything good done in the above, by the same point I did realise that actually outside of the office I at the very least don’t mind but even like some people who well lets say I have problems with. It’s kinda strange but hey I guess that was the point. I also realised that I like some people even more than I thought and I’m glad to know them.

So that is pretty much that. More if it comes to me.

Quarter of a Billion

So much I want to say about this but…
Fuck me still stands. Also Jesus Fucking H Christ has been used in there.

A quarter of a billion pounds. Lets have that again, one quarter of a billion pounts.

Two hundred and fifty million pounds.

I can barely imagine that amount of money. I mean fuck it its nine (9) fucking figures.

I feel broken. I’m tired I’m really stiff my shoulders hurt so much that when I walked out of the house this morning and slung my shoulder bag over my shoulder it was bad enough I decided to carry it for the rest of the journey. I have a lot of things to talk about mainly stuff releated to yesterday but I just don’t feel like doing it at the moment and besides I’m working on some mac stuff. I might go for it later tonight but I just got my first Artbomb order arrive and I am looking forward to digging into them.

Where to start?

I am really really tired and pretty sore too. I suspect I will be really stiff in the morning. I just had a nice shower when I got home and that was really nice. I’m watching the ever excellent C.S.I. at the mo and it is the setup ep for the spin-off (C.S.I.: Miami). I had doubts about David Caruso but he seems to more than capable. It was nice to see Emily Procter in there aswell although it took me a second to place her as being Ainsley from The West Wing.

Ok in short I had a good day and I was somewhat too cynical in my approach. Team building, well I realised that I like some people even more than I thought and I don’t like some others much at all. I do like some people that I really didn’t think I did.

Good news on another front I had been too cynical about but not really stuff to say..

I have a number I want to write down £250,000,000. That’s a quarter of a billion pounds. The phrase I used was fuck me. It still stands.

More tomorrow on these things when I’m not exhausted.
