I feel like shit. It was close on 11 when I got into work this morning. I did not sleep well last night and when I did sleep I didn’t get much of it. I was in bed awake for hours before I feel asleep 🙁
So anyways I went straight home last night and while I had thought about putting some new batteries in my discman and walking around the park for a while I was just too tired. So I sat in front of the tv all night. Last week I picked up Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider. Both are crime thrillers staring Morgan Freeman and based on books by James Patterson. I’d see the first one in the cinema a few years ago and it was ok. Seen as they were under a tenner each and the recent crime kick I’m on I figured what the hell. I watched Kiss the Girls some night last week and last night I watched Along Came a Spider. It was ok, nothing special about it aside from the performances by Morgan Freeman and Dylan Baker. The usual plot twists and turns that you expect from things like that but nothing special.
I hate the fact that things are predictable or worse boring when they happen. Films or indeed books with a twist should have just that. The best example in a movie I can think of has to be The Usual Suspects, how many of you saw that coming? More like that would be good, something that you just don’t see coming but that really works.
So after that I figured it was a little early to go to bed, it was only going on ten. I stuck on the pilot episode of CSI figuring an hour of that and then sleep. Again this was something I had seen a couple of years ago and having seen the rest of the series and looking back a lot of things didn’t really fit and it was obviously a pilot episode but it certainly showed signs of things to come. Finished that around half eleven and then went to bed.
