Why? I don’t know why. I had decided I simply wouldn’t tell/remind anyone that it was my birthday. It has been a shit week and I wanted a quiet weekend. My flatmate is away for a few days and a quiet day around here on my own sounded really good. Not exactly an exciting birthday activity but there you go.
I had lunch with Iain and mentioned to him again that I was thinking about having some people around tomorrow night. Seen as I was home alone and it was my birthday it seemed like an opportunity. But I decided against it, I really didn’t want to bother. Anyway to cut a long story short the topic came up in the pub tonight and everyone now knows. Not only do they know, they are now insisting that we do something tomorrow. There have already been a lot of late nights this week with a lot of booze and I really don’t feel in the mood to add another one. I am not so sure I have a choice in the matter.
hmmm
On a whole other note, I have come to the conclusion that life is a cruel joke. I’m not sure who it is being played by, but it is being played on me that is for sure.
