oh note to Alex in particular but also to others who read my bitching about Birds of Prey continuity. Apperently Huntress is indeed the daughter of Batman and Catwoman but this is from Earth-2 and of course this history no longer exists after Crisis.

So take BoP as being an Earth-2 Elseworlds and I guess it works continuity wise.

Cause you just had to know.

If you’ve ever spoken to an Australian or New Zealander who has asked you if you like Vegemite, it’s the same little look. The only proper response, we have learned, is: “It’s horrible. So its finally over…touch wood or as the phrase has been of late touch Mac. Its not quite over. There is still a chance it’s going to come back and bite me but….here is hoping not.

I had a couple of conversations with myself last night. Work stuff was a prime topic, leading to another meeting today. I hate being blamed for other peoples problems. It’s being going on for too long.

The next conversation was more fun, it was about 11:30 and I had about 150 pages left to go in my book. It went something like this.
I said:
“I need to sleep. I really can’t read the last 150 pages of this.”
The little voice in the back of my head replied
“Fuck yes you can”

So it was sometime after one when I finished, it was about time I talked with myself again.
“I really shouldn’t start the new book, I have to sleep and I can start it in the morning”
and the quick reply was:
“Watch me”.

Anyway I finished it a few minutes ago and quite enjoyed it. I hate the fact I have a long wait till the next one comes out. This is a 5 book series so I expect it till be another 3 or 4 years before it does end. Damn.

Picked up some comics afterwork tonight, Kissing Chaos, DareDevil: Love’s Labors Lost, Queen and Country: Morningstar, JLA: Terror Incognita and Peter Parker: Spiderman: Return of the Green Goblin.

Now that was a good premiere. Very enjoyable, predictable in a couple of places but very unpredictable in others.

*sigh* Moveable Type 2.5 just came out. I figured I would give it a try and see if it would solve any of my problems. It has in fact just made them worse. I can’t even get as far as I was able to a couple of weeks ago.

Note to self.

I slept pretty well last night. I went to bed around 10:30 and was asleep within moments. However it would appear I was sleeping at a bad angle as I have a bad creak in my neck this morning. It is not fun.

I have I hope just finished the project. Everything is checked in and the email has been sent. If this does not finish up other than being pretty upset, its going to be a massive headache. I had to kludge it at the end to get a file to work.

Angel downloaded over night which makes me happy. I will be watching that tonight. I am about 100 pages into the last book of the Serpentwar Saga and eagerly looking forward to starting Talon Of the Silver Hawk. I haven’t read it and I expect good things from it 🙂

I was quite pleased to hear during that week that there will be more books in the Krondor series. It will be good to read new stories about old friends. Dave tells me there is a book coming at some stage called Jimmy The Hand. The title alone means this book will rock.

So today was a long and pretty shit day. I really wish this project was over.

I’ve just gotten to the stage in Rage of a Demon King where people die. It really has been so long since I have read this. I miss one character within a page.

I’m gonna go read some more and then I have some stuff to watch. So little time, so little inclination to fit stuff in. Might see about a day off to make a long weekend soon. Friday week would be good.
