I enjoy the act of typing. I just realised that now as I was typing in an URL. Strange how somethings can just hit you.

I had the strangest dream last night. It was really really strange. Some fucker (the postman I suspect) was knocking loudly on the door early this morning for close to 10 minutes. It woke me up, I was not happy at all. I did come downstairs to check that it was not my flatmate and I had left the latch on. I had not so I went straight back to bed not giving a fuck.

Unfortunately the dream did not quite pick up where it left off. It was really strange, had I mentioned that?

oh fuck it all. No blogging.

This entire project has been a waste of time. We should never have bothered in the first place.

So tonight was a quick drink after work in honour of the guy who is getting married at the weekend. Then came home and watched some episodes. Angel 4.05 Supersymmetry was ok. Worked really well for developing some characters but seemed a little pushed. I think they figured Fred and Gunn were being underused and overreacted. I note that next weeks episode was written and directed by The Joss. I shall look forward to watching it on my return.

24 9am till 10am. Hmm, some stuff works really well. Notably Jack, Palmer and CTU. Some stuff does not work at all. Notably Kim and the whole wedding thing.

Americans. You should all be ashamed.

I have been very wary of this movie to date. I am really not sure it is going to translate that well onto the screen. The casting I thought was odd in a few places with only Michael Clarke Duncancoming across perfect as the Kingpin. It would appear I was completly wrong. The first trailer has just been released and it would appear to be spot on in every way. Jennifer Garner, Joe Pantoliano and Jon Favreau all look to be absolutly perfect, in particular Garner. In a simple line she became Elektra.

• Guilt by association seems to be the in thing at work these days.
• Over 7 months to prepare less than a days work and they are not ready. In a word bollocks.
• The shit is about to hit the fan.
• The pub is a bad place
• I remember my first kiss, it was somewhat unexpected. She was cute tho.
• I have learned to laugh at somethings I did not use to.
• The next Feist is Jimmy the Hand. I cannot wait.
• I had an urge to read some Sandman a few days ago. Last night I decided to go for it. I was only going to read The Sound of her Wings. That would be issue 8, the introduction of Death and one of my favourite comics. Once I pulled it off my shelf. I had to start at the start. I love this series so very much.
• I got a strange email yesterday. It ended by asking me what someone had to do to get me to email them. I don’t do emails. not often anyway. I prefer IM.
• I am in such a bad state moneywise for Tokyo.
• Rumour, not everything you hear is true.
• Exaggeration must always be taken into account.
• One friend has turned off his blog. Another friend has moved hers to a private area and is going for the private and personal approach.
• I have considered both ideas before.
• This really does flow and just not stop once I get going.
• I’m really stressed out about Tokyo. Really really stressed. I have no idea what to do.
• I have ever having to admit I need or want help.
• I don’t know how to talk to strangers.
• I don’t know how to talk to some of my friends at the moment.
• Moments of complete and utter honesty can sometimes be the most refreshing thing. I had a couple recently where I told people stuff and well one of them left me on a complete high for over a week. still feels good. Somewhat stupid, but I found I really don’t care.
• Jesus, this list does get long. I had not realised just how many points there were till I scrolled up.
• I am planning on keeping a separate blog for the two weeks I’m in Tokyo with a much higher audience. Might have to write it all and upload it when I get back but still. I am considering sending my parents the url. I am not sure on this point.
• I enjoy drinking with my dad. I am looking forward to doing it when I get back to Dublin next.
• A blog which I frequent scared me yesterday. It has a photo on the top. It is a picture of a locker room in a Dublin college. I recognised the room, I was only ever in it once.
• They say honesty is the best policy. Is it, and if so is it always the best policy?
• Who are ‘They’.
• I hate xmas. I hate this time of year. I wish a law would be passed banning anything from happening until at least December.
• The later U2 material really pales in comparison to the early work.
• I am having trouble sleeping again. Not as badly as before, but bad enough. I’m down to about 6 hours a night.

Slouching Towards Bethlehem, the fourth episode of Angel season four was a pretty much prime example of why it ranks among the best shows around. Really well paced covering a hell of alot and never leaveing anything out. The last line of the show from Wesley ‘It’s never simple, is it?’ was just excellent. The relationship between him and Lilah is being played out far better than I ever thought they could do. I am really looking forward to the next episode.

‘Lost in Space’ villain Jonathan Harris dies at 87 🙁

To take a step back to a couple of posts back. I’ve been listening to the U2 album. It does of course contain some wonderful tracks. A couple of things tho, despite the inclusion of One from 1991 ranking as one of my favourite songs, it really does prove that U2 peaked in the late 80’s. This album was never going to live up to the first one. Don’t get me wrong I have a deep love for every album U2 have put out but…some are better than others.

Anyway the second gripe is actually the remixes. I know that the second CD contains remixes, it is meant to. It has the B Sides and the remixes. I really don’t like the fact that the first CD, the actual Best of part remixes some tracks. These are not the ‘Best Of’ these are the ‘Best of with some tweaks’. It just annoys me that I cannot stick the main cds covering 1980 – 2000 together and hear the songs as I first heard them and as they were meant to be. It has kind of spoiled the album for me a little. I guess that makes it a little more than a minor quibble 🙁
