After Days of Passion; a webcomic written by Antony Johnston and with some amazing artwork by Ben Templesmith. The artworks is really stunning and I think I am going to have to put 3 Days of Night on the must pick up and read list for the art alone. I’m pretty sure my LCS had copies of all three the last time I was in there. I shall have to check the next time I make it there.

Reinstalling XP is simple…to a point.

– So there is now a 20 year extension on copyright. I think this is a bad thing, it seems to pave the way for lots more extensions.
– Marvel’s ‘First Wave’…hmm I shall reserve final judgement till there is more info, but the teasers look shit.
– CrossGen are doing good stuff. I don’t buy much of their stuff but they way they go about things is really good.
– Giant death robots really do kick ass.
– The weekend can get here quick enough. (no typo here)
– Message boards can rock.
– I think Winamp is fucked on my machine. Perhaps this is enough to finally get me to reinstall my machine
– Speaking of machines and fucked, my work machine is really pissing me off now. 2 fucking gig just for the OS and it needs more!
– More mailing lists today for home and work. How fun.
– New projects on the horizon…just not sure how far away the horizon is.
– The internet was not developed just for the sake of arguments despite what it may sometimes appear as.
– Fuck off with your copyright and file sharing bollocks. I don’t understand it all. It hurts my head at times.
– For a while a few years ago I had a crush on one of the girls who was in the group I hung out with. I have heard she is doing well for herself and more importantly doing what she enjoys and wanted to do. This makes me happy. It is good to know these things.
– Too many cooks spoil the broth.
– The Bee Gees tour tickets are on sale. 33% off (ha ha etc.).
– Britney Spears and Fred Durst dating is not fucking headlines either. (just don’t).
– Buffy season 7 is definitely on track and far more cohesive than the last season.
– The simple things can be the funniest things.
– I’ve changed a lot in the past few years.
– There are times I don’t have the words.
– The last three times I have read the V in the past 10 minutes has had me laughing.
– Trust the Fuckhead.
– I need to sleep more.
– I need my comics. It has been too long since I have had my fix and lots of cool stuff has come out. I shall search the shelves.
– Roll on March. 5 days in Dublin and St Paddy’s day. I need the break.
– Travel plans for the year now range in the yah I’ll go somewhere sometime. English speaking preferably so I imagine it will be North America.
And on a more personal note, I am really glad I sent that email a couple of days ago. Got a long email yesterday with loads of news and updates and another today. I guess I miss those people more than I realised.

Just to explain, P stands for Personal Characteristics, including outlook on life, adaptability and resilience.

And H represents Higher Order needs, and covers self-esteem, expectations, ambitions and sense of humour.
Everywhere I turn on the internet I’m seeing posts / debates /flame wars or just plain old articles on IP and copyright. On stuff ranging from fan fiction to music to movies to comics. Hell I even touched on this yesterday. Most of it is over my head, I don’t know enough about it to even try and pass any sort of comments.
It is such a huge topic and its the fucking internet, so before the issues can even be worked out, it has to be decided who is going to work the issues out. Jesus its a mess and it is ins’t something going to be sorted anytime soon. I wonder how things will be down the line when my generation is calling the shots; people who have grown up with the internet and file sharing. Fuck technology really can fuck things up.
