Right while I don’t feel like actually going through lot of things I do have some urge to type so some points to start with and I’ll see what if anything develops from there.

– Looking back, well not even looking back, the entire of the past couple of years blogging was worth it for that one recent post which still reverberates with me. That would be this this one…ok no seriously it would be this one. I don’t know if I’ll ever have another one like that but that would be the aim at the least. Really does bring the tag line of “this really is my therapy” into play.

– I didn’t take a single photo, the only one I wanted never turned out. Nothing else struck me as something I wanted to take a photo of.

– Picked up a live album by The Frames which is excellent. Their back catalogue must be looked into. Really fucking excellent.

– Picked up a few other odd bits and pieces. I read and commented on Alice Siebold’s The Lovely Bones fairly recently. I spotted Lucky, her first book on the shelf in the airport on the way out of Dublin and I picked it up. It’s her memoirs, I guess is the word, of her rape when she was in school and the aftermath of that. She’s got a real way with words and it’s some of the easiest stuff to actually read and given the nature of the book that’s saying something.

– I’m listening to the Best of Bowie and sitting here thinking that I don’t actually like David Bowie. Sure his duet with Queen is one of my favourite tunes but I don’t actually like most of his own stuff. I really like some of the late 90’s dancey tunes (Spaceboy, Little Wonder) but given the choice of taking or leaving the rest…I’ll leave them. At this point I would admit to liking the music from Labyrinth but I already bear too many geeky burdens.

– I picked up Gerry Adams first autobiography and I’m looking forward to getting into that. Also picked up some Iain and Iain M Banks novels cheap in the clearing house for Chapters.

– My sister lent me about 4 or 5 more Miyazaki movies and I’m looking forward to getting a chance to watch them at some stage soonish. The weekend I think.

– Some things in the world never change. This can be a good thing and/or a bad thing.

– I’m not the only one who does the odd nostalgia trip, it was interesting living one with someone for a while. More on that later for certain.

– I found out that the couple in question for the first non family wedding I ever went to called it a day a while ago. I really don’t know what to say other than that. It was a strange.

– I don’t know. Love is a strange thing. I can just hear the “no shit” to that one. As always Dublin brings back lots of memories some good some bad. This time was a little different in that I was sitting down and talking about some of the good times and the bad times and touching a little on who was (and indeed still is) important to us. Hmm love was so the wrong word to use there, lust maybe or just go with crushed. More on that one later too.

Endless Nights has made me want to go and reread all of Sandman…it must be done. I also want to reread all of Starman and am looking forward to the next (final?) trade lots.

– Work in the morning after most of a week off should be interesting. I have a team meeting at 10am which should catch me up on what’s going on and of course I’ll be bringing crisps for everyone and that should make me popular.

– I guess that is that for now, I want to read and sleep.
