Still pretty tired. A quiet night last night but not an early one. I did head to the pub as expected and it was good to see Sam again for a while. It was after 11.30 before I got to bed so not too surprising that I was late in this morning. Not badly but enough. I was going to see a film with my flatmate this evening but I think I’ll just go home and catch up on a couple of TV programs and then head to bed.
I’m reading The Year Of Our War by Steph Swainston. Good quotes by John Courtenay Grimwood and Richard Morgan sold me on it and quite right they were too. It’s lots of fun. Mainly decent characters, the lead is annoying but seems very much to be designed that way and acknowledges it throughout. I’m enjoying it a whole lot.
It’s a quiet enough day around here. I’ve been trying to figure out how I’m going to use my respecs. I’m not coming up with too much so far. I think I’ll just be working it so that I get some more slots sorted early. Get all of my nice things slotted well and worry about the powers at a later date. I need to do this for my healer at the least. Perma-Hasten is so very nice and I only got to it late when I could do with slots on other things. It’s looking very much like I need to get these onto Test and check em out. Be good to make 28 on my Defender too.
Lots on tomorrow. First off it’s out early so I can vote before heading to work. Greens for me this time around. I was dithering alot between Labour (Glenda Jackson being a decent MP), Lib Dems (as a semi protest, semi lefty vote) and Green (as a I like them alot). I was doing some reading up and my local Green candidate just missed out on a local council seat last time around. She admits the aim of this election is to get enough votes to keep her deposit and then to run for local again. I like the honesty in that and so it sold me.
Tomorrow evening is a birthday party for one of the girls here. Off into town after work for what should be a good evening. Lots of good people headed out.
More on that later.
