I read Skreemer the other day. I picked it up a few weeks ago just cause. It’s written by Peter Milligan, with art by Brett Ewins and Steve Dillon, and was publised in 1989. It was as it turns out one of the first creator owened pieces of work at DC and is seen to have been one of the major influences behind the creation of the Vertigo line. I have to admit to really enjoying it, more than any comic I have read in a while. It was really well writtena nd well paced and ran smoothly all the way.
I read the first book of the Eagle series last night. Dialogue was just plain shit. I assume it looses a lot in the translation but it was really poor. The story however wasn’t all that bad and the art was pretty good. I did enjoy it once I got over the dialogue and I am left wondering where it goes next. I will be picking up book 2.
Listening to Let Go by Avril Lavigne at the mo and there is a line in it that strikes me everytime I hear it.
