Friday morning. I woke up about 10:30am. I knew I had a couple of voicemails on it that I had not checked so I figured I would give them a listen. I had a new message from my boss asking me to be available for a conference call at 12:30. So I cleared my morning and attended the call.
So the news. In about 3-4 weeks time I’m moving to DC until sometime in October. No fixed return date, one of the developers in another department and myself are being seconded to a team in Dulles to work on a project. The timeframe is all up in the air, but pretty much a come back when its done.
I have many many many many thoughts on all of this. I have started to make a list because I can’t keep track of them. It is a pretty major project and a pretty major move with lots of (worrying) logistics to work out. While I am obviously excited about the entire project, I have many concerns.
