Ya know what really pisses me off?
You make a post in your blog and someone reads it. They automatically assume there is more to the story and far worse they assume you are going to tell them more. Then when you don’t they get pissed at you.
If I choose not to post about stuff that’s going on, and I generally don’t sure that does not mean I’m not going to talk about it with people but what gives you the right to demand that information and then get pissed off with me when I tell you (and quite politely too) that I don’t want to discuss it.
What’s with that?
I am not my blog, and my blog is not me or some such stuff. The quote I was looking for earlier covers this too.
“Be mindful of the shadows that lurk beneath the face we show the world” but another way to look at that, is I am not the face that I show to the world.
On a similar note, the other thing that pisses me off is people assuming when you make a general statement or a statement that is more than open to interpretation, that they know exactly what you mean and how you mean it.
On a somewhat related note, I have an AIM screen name for (obvious) work purposes. Some of my friends know this Screen Name, not all that many, but some of them seem to have missed the work part and expect quick full responses and detailed conversation. I use to run my non work nick at the same time and I stopped doing that because I was busy…with the work, ya know…anyways….
Still I guess it’s good to know the truth about conversations.
