Gaming, comics and fancy restaurants

I’m actually thinking of being not only social tomorrow night but going along and meeting new people. There is a game club that meets and plays LOTR and I would really like to play it again so I might go along. Not got much in the way of a deck yet though 🙁

On a whole other note, for the first time I actually felt old last night. It was something I saw and it just stood out as me being old.
I’ve finished off the TPB of Astro City and am eager for more, unfortunately there does not appear to be anymore. I am slowly but surely getting the office hooked on Transmet, and that is pretty much going to plan. I lend out the first book and keep the next 3 in my desk so when they bring the first back I can just give them more.

Went out to dinner with one of the guys from work tonight and a couple of drinks afterwards. It was good, but it felt strange a couple of times, we were in a far more fancy restaurant than normal, for no real reason other than we passed it. The office is not a formal place at all (in so many ways) so we were not dressed the part at all. There was no problem being there but it just felt strange, I think the phrase is self-conscious. Someone once said to me that it didn’t matter, that we were the future (i.e. well paid, young, casual internet geeks) and it shouldn’t bother me. It’s good advice….I think that was Davewhen we were in DC a year or so ago.
