 Really good afternoon catching up with Andy and then playing Terraforming Mars on the board for the first time. We messed up a rule or two but it was SO much fun. Very keen to do it again.

Good pizza too, Charlottes – place by the railway arch where I had eaten before a while ago. Proper 5 cheese pizza.

Then down to the NT for Kin. Physical theatre, movement “Visually stunning, the lighting in particular being an absolute
knockout but the shifting and repeating narratives are at times hard to
follow but even more, hard to connect with the story. Left me feeling
out of sync but the place leapt to it’s feet at the end so… yeah”

 Flat stuff. Grrrr, the stress and my blood pressure. Grrrr.

 Day off.

Three movies.

Some downtime.

Same same but different.

Less stress, less stress, less stress.

Finally got some shipments from Master Replicas so that is looking up a bit. I just need to decide on actual shelving!

Really good flat progress yesterday, am optimistic about some of it now. Fingers crossed that we’ll see how it goes over next few days.

 Bit of a day. Into town for Time Traveller’s Wife, again two beers. Need to re-engage willpower on that I think. Show was better than expected but I think low expectations really helped there.

Not the best night for herself and frustration all around tho for different reasons, not exactly all on the same page.

Hammer begins to fall.

 We Stranger Thinged. It was good, not great. Overly long and in need of an edit but a couple of good effects. Two beers, not so sure on that. Otherwise, life goes on.

 Need to figure out titles.

Dinner was a bit of a muted affair with Doug not having the best day. Still, done and all okay. Her parents return home, a month is a long stretch…

Slipper to fall.

Northanger Abbey at OT. Strong and lovely cast, funny first half but the second half kind of derails. Feels like knowledge of the book is almost required. Made the evening a bit of a meh all around.

Otherwise a day ending in Y.

I need to shake something off but I don’t know how and I just don’t now how. It’s going to crash down, I can see it – I need to stop it.

 The same argument about family issues – again. It is frustrating.

Otherwise a quiet one, finished Reacher, good fun – better than I expected.  Quiet day otherwise, and a week ahead. Stress and dread, dread and stress.

Imposter Syndrome.

 Camera, I’d love a camera again. I don’t know that I would use it but man, sometimes I really would like one. Just need to win the lottery.

Quiet day. Some progress on flat stuff, fire details. Need to look into them tomorrow.

 

A couple of movies, Asteroid City & The Creator and more Stranger Things. Another quietish one tomorrow.

 Started a rewatch of S1 of Stranger Things prior to the show next week.

Drinks with Doug and his dad. Some stress, not so bad in the end. Good that people came out.
