Transfomers seems to have had orders in the region of 150,000. We like that 🙂
Garbage gig last night was excellent 🙂
Fuck. I’m missing something small and silly and it’s holding up one of my projects in a major way. Everything should work fine but of course it is not and I don’t know why 🙁
Something strange happened this morning. I woke up one minute before my alarm was supposed to go off. This alone is strange but stranger yet is I actually got out of bed as well. It’s now 8:52 and I should be in work early which is good.
This afternoon I am going to Bristol. There are three things wrong with this statement.
1) I hate going to Bristol. 2.5 hours on a coach is not my idea of fun.
2) I hate Bristol. It’s really notice at all.
3) I hate having to take 2 half days in order to get there and back.
Why am I going? Well, it’s my girlfriends birthday and we have tickets to see Garbage, so I guess I have to be there.
On the subject of birthdays, there are so many going on at the moment. It was a friends birthday on Friday and I only found out on Thursday. I’m really not good with birthdays and other important dates. They never seem to stay with me. I’m a terrible person I know.
Seems like Wil took alot of people in with this April Fools yesterday. Which is fair enough cause it was quite good 🙂
So the WEF has had a makeover which includes being renamed “THE HAPPY HAPPY SWEDISH NEOPETS FORUM!” and is incidentally in fucking Swedish now, AOL buys some blogs, MetaFilter sells out and gets a makeover, Google is run by pigeons, The Force.Net becomes N’SYNC FanForce.Net and Blink 182 will provide the music for the David E Kelley scripted remake of 2001.
Yes it is the first of April.
I meant to post this a few days ago when it was sent on to me.I think it quite simply sums up LOTR at the Oscars.
Yet again The West Wing proves without a doubt it’s completely without equal on TV these days. Roll on next week’s episode, I’m really gonna have to see if I can track this down online.
Tonight was kinda chilled. I met up with a few friends for dinner and while it was somewhat shorter than expected due to a number of people have transport issues it was fun.
This mornings reading was Alan Moore’s Top Ten Book Two. I had planned on reading this last night (the best saved for last) but was fairly tired so left it till this morning. It rocks. Top Ten Book One was one of my favourite collections of last year and easily the best from the ABC line so I was expecting good things from this book. I was not disapointed. I am eagerly awaiting more.
Strangehaven: Botherhood, the second book in the collection did not disapoint. It built on the first book really well and moved the story along nicely. I am looking forward to more of this, but I don’t think there is any 🙁
