I like this:
Voltaire’s response to a request that he foreswear Satan as he lay dying: “This is no time to make new enemies.” (from The Last Words )
Anyways last night was an internet free night, I watched some crap comedy on BBC2 and a somewhat crap documentary on submarines on Channel 5. I use to have a 4 hour one that I taped off Discovery years ago and this was a pale imitation of that. I was going to go to bed early but I found that Channel 5 show CSI on Monday nights at 10:30 ish. I always meant to watch this but I don’t tend to be home on Saturday nights to watch tv. Monday nights however are good π
The West Wing returns to Channel 4 next week and I am really looking forward to that. Sunday nights at 9pm I can manage. Would it be really sad to note all of these in my PDA so I don’t forget. Probably, but I suspect I will anyway π
On a TV note, one of the best shows ever produced was the first season (case) of Murder One in 1995. Daniel Benzali, John Fleck and Stanley Tucci all put in fantastic performances, and it had the absolutely stunning Grace Phillips which was a very good thing π It was about a legal firm hired to represent a young movie star against charges of murder. Over the course of this season, this case would be followed with some smaller cases along the way. It never once failed to impress me. The second season while not bad, never rose to the same heights as the first. Oh a DVD boxed set would be so nice.
Does any song have a better introduction than Michael Jackson‘s “Billie Jean”? It’s hard not to react to it
Boo! And the 100 Other Dumbest Moments in e-Business History
The first few seconds of Moby’s “Porcelain” are just sheer beauty. It’s another one of those songs I had mentioned before (but can’t find where) that just grabs me and cheers me up however briefly.
A pretty spectaular explanation for a now defunct blog.
This drawing by John Cassaday from the excellent Planetary is my new wallpaper. I found it posted in a thread over the WEF and I just had to have it π
My Amazon order has just arrived neatly solving the problem of having nothing to read π
Terror’s march backwards
I think I can only use the words this was sent to a list-serv with to describe it This is so wrong. But so funny.

There are many things I donβt write about that I would like to write about. There are two reasons I donβt
1) I know who reads this.
2) I donβt know who reads this.
I know one person that keeps two blogs, a public blog and a password-protected blog. Both though are still under his name. I am toying with the idea of opening a second blog on blogspot with a default template it would be interesting to me at the least to see how far I would be prepared to push it.
Only question then would be if the two blogs were connected. How would I feel about that?
I might, I might not. Either way I hope you never know.
Another thing I hate, being treated differently because of my age. It’s not normally an issue, but I am a lot younger than I am usually taken for. Tonight it was an issue though, the phrase “your too young to understand” was used and I really hate that. It’s just not needed.
Headed out earlier in the day to meet up with some folks from work for a St. Paddy’s Day day out and it was good. We met up, had a quick Pizza Hut then ended up spending the rest of the days in BRB’s in Chinatown. All in all it was quite good, although better for some who left with phone numbers π
In other news is something easier or less difficult to comes to terms with once you actually tell someone? I’ve heard many a times that it is, but I am not so sure.
I did get home to find my flatmate home a day earlier than I expected which is always good I guess. Good thing I had finished most of the cleaning and tidying before going out.
Warren Ellis thing is on Thursday night and Chris Claremont is doing a signing on Saturday. Damn that’s gonna cost me a pretty penny.
*sigh*
I will be in work on time in the morning.
So this afternoon I watched the two movies I had planned to watch last night and I enjoyed both. Finally saw Swordfish and it wasn’t actually bad, it was alot better than I had expected and I quite liked the ending. Overall slightly better than the usual action fluff. Then followed Sexy Beast which for something that was suppose to be a comedy I didn’t find funny. It was ok, nothing really new to it’s name tho.
Oh and just for the record I bought and read the first two Black Panther tpb recently after they came highly recommended over at the WEF. I enjoyed them both, in fact I went out and bought the second one either the day or the day after I finished the first one. I will buy the next one that comes out. I don’t give a fuck that the lead character is black, I buy for stories…
