Somtimes it’s just not worth it. I give up.

No work tomorrow, or the day after, or the day after 🙂

One of my friends has posted one of the most spectacular items on the net and relationships on they net I’ve seen in a long time. It’s a really great post, much much kudos kiddo.

I haven’t really got much I want to say, blogging these days is a bad idea. Too many people involved are reading this and I’m not sure how comfortable I am with that.

One thing I will say is I hate politics, it’s causing trouble for one of the people I respect and admire most in work and I hate doing it, but it has to be done, but that does not mean it does not suck big time.

I’ve booked Friday off work, things have been getting to me recently and a long weekend on my own with nothing to do I’m hoping will be good.

And to return to a somewhat of a normal topic, from the looks of it, CrossGen could be well involved in perfectly legal but ethically dubious “ballot-stuffing” and that could loose them a lot of respect.

And Gaiman vs. McFarlane lawsuit has some developments

Ya know what really pisses me off?

You make a post in your blog and someone reads it. They automatically assume there is more to the story and far worse they assume you are going to tell them more. Then when you don’t they get pissed at you.

If I choose not to post about stuff that’s going on, and I generally don’t sure that does not mean I’m not going to talk about it with people but what gives you the right to demand that information and then get pissed off with me when I tell you (and quite politely too) that I don’t want to discuss it.

What’s with that?

I am not my blog, and my blog is not me or some such stuff. The quote I was looking for earlier covers this too.

“Be mindful of the shadows that lurk beneath the face we show the world” but another way to look at that, is I am not the face that I show to the world.

On a similar note, the other thing that pisses me off is people assuming when you make a general statement or a statement that is more than open to interpretation, that they know exactly what you mean and how you mean it.

On a somewhat related note, I have an AIM screen name for (obvious) work purposes. Some of my friends know this Screen Name, not all that many, but some of them seem to have missed the work part and expect quick full responses and detailed conversation. I use to run my non work nick at the same time and I stopped doing that because I was busy…with the work, ya know…anyways….

Still I guess it’s good to know the truth about conversations.

I’m listening to the excellent “love is here” by starsailor at the mo. My sister sent it to me a couple of weeks ago, she got a promo copy and wasn’t really interested in it. It has actually grown on me alot over recent days. It’s easy listening but it gives alot more back aswell. Highly recommended.

Episode II Release Poster

hmmm

I would have been in the office by 09:30 this morning, well ok 09:45, but the road next to my house where I get my bus is for some unknown reason being resurfaced and there is lots of delays. I don’t think I have ever seen a pothole in it…

So a fun night was had. I broke another of the below. But it was all pretty good. Had a conversation I had not been looking forward to and it worked out pretty well. I am somewhat happy about that 🙂 Follow through could be interesting tho…

Yes the redesign will happen at some stage, I’ve been out the past 6 nights running (I only just realised that and it needs to stop.), and no I am under no illusions at all as to the quality of the writing or indeed the coding.

Hope Iain got home ok, he ended up on a bus going close(ish) to his place.

Things to take from the Ep II trailer

“Anakin grew up to be a prick.
Lots of Jedis fighting look _really_ cool.
As does one Jedi fighting with two sabres.
Christopher Lee would sound evil ordering pizza.”
