It came out a couple of weeks ago and my copy arrived yesterday. So last night I watched the first four episodes. I had planned to watch two and then get some sleep but it just didn&#8217;t work out.<\/p>\n<p>I loved it when it first aired. RTE had it a few weeks before whichever UK channel did and I think it went out on Sunday evenings. Loved the cast, thought that Stanley Tucci was excellent as Richard Cross and Daniel Benzali was spot on for Hoffman.<\/p>\n<p>I may be looking back through tinted glasses. Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I really enjoyed watching it again last night but I wasn&#8217;t as impressed with the cast.<\/p>\n<p>Benzali came across as really wooden in places, in particular in a talk with the DA in a courtroom in the fourth episode where it literally marches out. It looked really bad. It threw me a little. I&#8217;m hoping it picks up a little as the series goes on and it&#8217;s more like I remembered. The tension from Hoffman towards Cross seems fairly overplayed already, I enjoy their scenes and I&#8217;m still impressed with Tucci.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, I don&#8217;t actually remember how the first season ends. Afterall it is eight years since I watched it and I&#8217;m looking forward to a couple of episodes a night for the next week or so until I reach the end.<\/p>\n<p>Theme music isn&#8217;t as good as I remember it, but it&#8217;s still a nice piece of muisic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A while ago Budgie posted about the first season of Murder One being released on DVD.
