Google News is one of the best examples of smart thinking on the net in recent years. It’s very very simple and fills a gap very nicely. I find myself using it a hell of a lot.<\/p>\n
So this afternoon I wanted to see what the latest reviews for Oleanna had been. So off to Google News. At the time, the top result was the Guardian from a few days ago and the text snippet with it was “When David Mamet’s Oleanna opened in London in 1992 at the Royal Court Theatre, the violence of audiences’ response to the play made headlines.” I pretty much laughed it off, things like that don’t tend to affect me. It’s rare that a movie or play gets to me, a song is much more likely to.<\/p>\n
Yet I’m sitting at my own computer now in the safety of my front room and my stomach is still churning. Powerful stuff.
