\nWent to see Vanessa Carlton in the Shepherds Bush Empire last night. I didn’t really want to go and thought about just poping down and selling off a ticket but went anyway. Something to do eh? The set was only an hour long and it was the last night of a years tour. I wasn’t bad. Nothing great but some decent versions of her album, notably Paint it Black<\/i>, A Thousand Miles<\/i> and a really good version of Twilight<\/i>. Further proof that adding drums can improve anything. So I had fun and it was worth the tenner or so the tickets cost me. Then I went back to the Albion to meet up with Nick for a beer to talk about some stuff. Patrick was there too and they had been hitting it pretty heavily. So stayed there for a while chatting and then Pat headed off home after having enough.<\/p>\n
We kept going for a while and talked and drank till late. Lots of fallout going on from events at the start of the weekend and these are gonna reverberate for a while I guess. Donnie Darko<\/i> is showing tonight in the PCC and I really want to go and see it. I don’t feel all that great (it’s been a rough few days) and somehow I can’t see myself doing something stupid before then (other than blogging that is) and therefore go along to it with complete disregard for how I’m feeling. I suspect I will go anyway, it’s too good a movie to pass up and I really want to see it again. That reminds me, I wanted to dig out Gary Jule’s Mad World<\/i> cover to listen to. I shall do that now. Fuck it, I am going to the movie tonight. I cannot miss this, it’s just I have no idea what it is, but it just is. (Fucker will be sold out now, you watch.)<\/p>\n
