To take a step back to a couple of posts back. I’ve been listening to the U2 album. It does of course contain some wonderful tracks. A couple of things tho, despite the inclusion of One<\/i> from 1991 ranking as one of my favourite songs, it really does prove that U2 peaked in the late 80’s. This album was never going to live up to the first one. Don’t get me wrong I have a deep love for every album U2 have put out but…some are better than others.<\/p>\n
Anyway the second gripe is actually the remixes. I know that the second CD contains remixes, it is meant to. It has the B Sides and the remixes. I really don’t like the fact that the first CD, the actual Best of part remixes some tracks. These are not the ‘Best Of’ these are the ‘Best of with some tweaks’. It just annoys me that I cannot stick the main cds covering 1980 – 2000 together and hear the songs as I first heard them and as they were meant to be. It has kind of spoiled the album for me a little. I guess that makes it a little more than a minor quibble \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
