Right a number of things to talk about. Without going into any detail I had a problem in work today and I spoke with my boss about it. We talked about it for a moment and he asked me to drop it all into an e-mail for him with the warning “be nice”. And so I did. I took some time writing it and wrote it several times. It was something I knew other people were going to read so it was important to get it right. In fact I took so long over it he asked about it. Anyway I finished it off and sent it to him and mentioned it to him a short time later, checking that I made the “be nice” cut. He commented that it was nice and quite sarcastic. I was somewhat taken aback from this. Anyone who knows me will tell you I like sarcasm and I use a lot of sarcasm. And those are both understatements. Anyways thinking about it yes I can see sarcasm in the e-mail, but I really thought I had taken it easy and that it was a solid mail. The subject I guess didn’t really lend itself to it, I was explaining something…anyways I was kinda surprised and it’s something to think about.<\/p>\n
In other news, my eyes hurt. That’s not too bad, it is nothing major, but and of course there is a but, it’s all the time these days. I can’t figure it out. I guess it could be computer use. Weekdays I’m using a pc (and usually online) for 9 hours a day, weekends this usually drops but can be still 5 or 6 hours. I don’t know if this is causing problems. It’s not a new thing, I’ve always been a heavy computer user and my eyes have never shown any affect in tests. In fact my eye sight has been improving over the past few years, but I’m thinking maybe I’ll get my eyes checked soon. Scratch that I will<\/b> get my eyes checked soon.<\/p>\n
On the good news front, I have now been in this country long enough (yes…I know I have a hard time thinking of that as good news) and my salary has increased enough in that time that when I applied for a new credit card and a new bank yesterday I was approved on the spot and given quite a nice limit too. There are some advantages I guess to sticking around. I think I want a nice new PC, well I know I want one, I think I can now afford one. Will do some looking into it over the next couple of weeks. <\/p>\n
I want more West Wing \ud83d\ude41 I’ve lent Dave<\/a> the eps today and even thought I watched them all over the past few days including the first two twice, I’m tempted to watch them again. My damn firewall in work is blocking me from close to 50 episodes which I am really pissed about.
